On Wednesday December 3rd, 2025 MIT is coming to Weston Middle School to share some really cool research that is coming out of the Research Laboratory of Electronics, which is part of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. 

Ten incredibly talented PhD students were chosen to join a brand new leadership development fellowship program. These students were hand-picked as promising leaders to learn how to communicate their research as a key leadership skill they will need as they graduate and head on to become leaders in industry, become professors at universities, and launch startup companies. 

As the final showcase to our semester-long program, the Fellows will be sharing 5 minute TED talks with you about their research. If they can communicate what they do to Middle School students effectively, then they can communicate successfully with anyone they need to on their journey!
